Premiere: Object Blue ‘Cordelia’s Call To Arms’

Following a formidable debut EP on Tobago Tracks in March this year, Object Blue continues her rapid upward trajectory with ‘Rex’ on Let’s Go Swimming. ‘Cordelia’s Call To Arms’ is a tense burst of dizzying techno...

Since the release of her debut EP 'Do you plan to end a siege?' via Tobago Tracks in March, London-based Object Blue has rapidly become one of the most hyped electronic artists in the city’s underground circuit. Rightfully so, given the incendiary and eclectic energy of both her live and DJ sets which have found her playing in some the most reputable venues in the UK and, lately, even further afield. Not only that, but support has come from some of the most revered names in the scene, with the likes of Lee Gamble and Objekt being known to drop her cuts in DJ sets and radio shows.

Now, Object Blue is readying the release of a brand new  four track EP on Let’s Go Swimming. Set for release on 13th July, ‘Rex’ veers from tense, percussive IDM in ‘Princess Is No Longer At This Address’ and trippy 150 bpm heat in ‘(Time To) Work’ to ferocious, avant-garde (ish) techno in ‘Chipping At The Kingdom’ and ‘Cordelia's Call To Arms’.

‘Cordelia’s Call To Arms’ – premiering below – is possibly the most outright techno track Object Blue has produced to date with its heady, tense groove being embellished by consistent growling motif and rhythmic, distorted vocals.

Around the time of the release of 'Do you plan to end a siege?' she served up an hour long mix for our Fresh Kicks series, swerving from abstract sound design and experimentalism to fearsome techno and back around again with the skill and selection of a longstanding pro.
