Hessle Audio to release debut LP from Bruce, Sonder Somatic

Hear the lush, percussive album track 'Æon' now...

Hessle Audio have shared details for the debut album from UK producer Bruce.

The groundbreaking UK label – helmed by Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound – will release the 11-track LP on 26th October. It marks the DJ/producer’s third appearance on the label, having dropped the ‘Not Stochastic’ and ‘Steals’ EPs in 2014 and 2016 respectively. Bruce – real name Larry McCarthy – has also released on revered UK labels Timedance, Hemlock Recordings, Livity Sound and Idle Hands.

Known for his experimental, knotted and arresting approach to club music, Bruce’s tracks swerve in pace and intensity from disjointed rhythmic techno to captivating UK garage, bass and IDM forms. ‘Sonder Somatic’ is no different, with its complex arrangements remaining resolutely club friendly throughout.

McCarthy explained the significance of working with Hessle Audio for his debut full-length release in an official statement. “From being a fan of their work from the very beginning, it's not only the music they have released that has informed my taste/work,” he said. “But also the journey they have formed through the application of their attitude and approach.”

Below, you can hear the lush, percussive first track to be lifted from the album, ‘Æon’. You can pre-order 'Sonder Somatic' here.

'Sonder Somatic' is the first LP to be released on Hessle Audio since Pangaea's incomprable 2016 album 'In Drum Play'.

There will be an album launch party in London’s Pickle Factory on 5th October featuring sets from Pearson Sound, Danielle as well as Bruce himself.
