EXCLUSIVE, ostentatious luxury is what Miami Beach is all about. Inevitably, though, out of all the gobsmacking, black AmEx-rinsing hotels that line the endless strip of Collins Avenue, only one can really claim to be the absolute lick. The Fontainebleau, a long-established, never beaten, beautifully designed palace of a hotel, pips all others to the post. And in Miami, any self-respecting megalith must have a club attached.

Enter LIV, a venue of swish exclusivity and streamlined, ergonomic majesty designed to tickle the retinas and ear canals of the rich and famous. Suffice to say, you won't be turning up here in those scuffed old Adidas if you're even half serious about getting in. This club is strictly for the beautiful people, with its parade of predictable mega names: Steve Angello, Erick Morillo, Chuckie? Ti?o, speaking to online mag ontheredcarpet.com, was full of praise for the club. "The best club in the world at the moment is LIV in Miami. It's the best. It's an old theatre where Frank Sinatra used to perform in the '50s. It's a beautiful club - high ceiling, good soundsystem, beautiful people.
