Super Selfcast

More than 30,000 log on to watch DJmag Top 100 party live

This year's Top 100 DJs poll was a roaring success, with over 345,000 clubbers from all over the planet voting for their favourite DJs. To celebrate, our annual Top 100 DJs 2007 party brought together some of the hottest DJs in the poll to rock London's seOne club, and saw beatbox dude Beardyman hand out awards to modern legends such as David Guetta and junglist don Andy C.

But this time it wasn't just the people at the event that could hear their favourite tunes from their favourite DJs.

This year DJmag teamed up with Selfcast.com to provide the whole world with the highly anticipated annual event, via the internet. Five rooms of dance music were streamed from seOne via Selfcast.com in high-quality video to bring the party to the people.

More than 30,000 clubbers tuned in from all over the world in their different time zones to see who had risen in the rankings, and witnessed Armin van Buuren crowned as No.1 DJ in the World 2007.

Viewers also caught sets from some of the latest and greatest in dance music, such as psy-trancers Infected Mushroom, Brazilian techno cat Anderson Noise and Ibizan legend Alfredo. Selfcast's innovative technology made it possible for every voter to be a part of the Top 100 party.

"It's great that people from all around the world who voted but couldn't be at the event in London were still able to be a part of it," commented DJmag editor Lesley Wright.
