DJ Die unleashes new label

Drum & bass behemoth DJ Die has consistently been at the forefront of shaping his genre, and now he's set to step the game up again with a new record label - Clear Skyz.

Taking its name from his classic single, he's devised the new imprint as both an outlet for his own new material and a platform for fresh talent.

"I wanted a new outlet for my music, a new way to get it out there. I wanted to do it for the experience, and it seemed like a good idea at the time!" grinned Die.

The first release on the spanking new label will be a pair of his new tracks: the double A-side single 'Slow Burn' and 'The Reasons Why', out 10th December. The former exhibits Die's trademark granite-tough funk flow with a crunching stepper, while the flip sees him linking with regular collaborator Ben Westbeech for a hip-hop laced, liquid roll-out.

Having produced much of Westbeech's debut 'Welcome to the Best Years of Your Life', Die's created the perfect groove for Westbeech to flex his futuristic soul steez.

Not content to rest on his laurels, there are already more exciting new releases in the pipeline for Clear Skyz.

"The next one is a collaboration with Clipz. We've just done a collabo on his label, so it was time to return the favour," revealed Die. "The tracks are gonna be called 'Number 2/Back Inside' and and 'Indian Summer', which is some Bollywood d&b on the party tip - a real boogie down tune. And the next release after that is gonna be a Commix remix of 'Clear Skyz.'"

Clear Skyz will be releasing some big bangers in the near future so for now, watch the Skyz and watch DJ Die.
