Questions Top100 DJs 2011 - admin - 2015-06-30 17:08

Style:
Between progressive and electro
Best known for:
My productions and of course the track I did with Tiësto
Tune of the year:
Swedish House Mafia 'Save The World'
Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2011:
Jordy Lishious
What's the future of DJing:
Just 23-years-young, fresh-faced, Dutch born-and-bred, Hardwell is already at the top of his game. Playing the main stage at this year's Creamfields and releasing Beatport top tenners 'Encoded', 'The World' and 'Cobra' through his own label Revealed have been lofty moments for him. He spent a good part of the summer touring with the mighty Tiësto. “It was a great experience for me!” he beams. Hailing from the same town, it was only going to be a matter of time before they hooked up. After an invitation to join Tiësto at Privilege, hitting the studio together was the natural progression. “One of the highlights of this year is the track I did with Tiësto, 'Zero 76', and because of that, we did a whole tour together in the United States.” Hardwell's remix of Tiësto's classic 'Love Comes Again' is out this month. And despite having a lot of new material for release, Hardwell isn't going to rush into album territory, preferring instead to steadily fire out big room solo tracks.
Favourite app:
“Angry Birds! The game is so easy and funny
Discovery of the year:
Entourage the series. I never watched it before, and just started this year
Rediscovery of the year:
It's a plug-in, the Waves bundle, I started using it again this year. I needed it for a track to create a specific sound and I ended up using it more.
Awkward Moment:
I had to play in Ibiza and we were waiting at the wrong gate and we missed our flight. We were boarding, and then we discovered it was a flight to Alicante instead of Ibiza
Style or substance:
That's a hard one. I think style is always more important, your own style, because that's what makes you, you
Pet Hate:
Waiting at airport gates
