Craig Richards and Howie B collaborate on art and music project

'A Short Run' is the new multimedia hook up from Craig Richards and Howie B. An ultra limited, beautifully designed green seven-inch box set, it contains four one-sided singles, with a hand engraving on the flipside of each.

All the tracks see the two DJ/producers collaborating, and acknowledging their eclectic musical tastes: techno, hip-hop, dub and soul all get a look in.
In addition, each sleeve has a drawing from Richards on one side, depicting intricately drawn parrots, wheelchairs and more abstract designs. Howie B also contributes a poem to each sleeve. 'I Can Play' takes it back to the early '80s, with lino-cutting electro, Detroit and hip-hop bumps, while 'Shiner' is a slow and low somnambulist stroll: hazy downtempo business.

Richards is of course known for his pioneering techno and house sets at London's Fabric, and has also been involved in programming the famously on-point music policy and DJ line-ups there. Howie B, meanwhile, is the production genius known for his label Pussyfoot and a series of iconic albums, and the not inconsiderable role behind the boards for Tricky and mega acts like Bjork and U2. In recent years he's been involved in fashion design for his label Hvana, and also occasionally DJs at Fabric.

The 'A Short Run' box will be exclusively available from hip London clothing store oki-ni, priced at £45. Check out www.oki-ni.com for further details.
