Dropping everything from the widescreen, submerged chords of Detroit techno to hands-in-the-air uplifting house, Cox's craft is one that has been honed over the course of more than 20 years of representing the best dance music to the fullest. This year has been another exceptional period in Cox's reign, with his triumphant headline set at London's SW4 festival proving particularly enjoyable for the DJ. "It was great to see the people in South London and beyond coming together on the great venue of Clapham Common for SW4," Cox smiles. Having rinsed parties across the globe all year, Carl is shifting focus to his productions again with a new album promised soon. "I've got a new album coming out, working with a lot of artists from Australia - this'll be done and finished by early next year, I'm just putting the finishing touches to it," Cox tells DJmag.
