Eastern Europe's dance music scene has exploded in recent years, but none more so than in Poland. With DJmag Poland covering both international and homegrown talent, it's unsurprising to see trance master Tiddey catapulted into this year's Top 100. Born Darek Plaza, the DJ, based in Poznan, took to DJing like a duck to water, first hitting the decks in 2002 and instinctually building a reputation for rocking audiences in Poland and increasingly across the planet, too. In 2006, Tiddey was voted DJ of the Year by FTB.pl (whose readers often exceed 500,000 a month), and having added a production string to his bow, now he's poised to take on the big trance players. "I just finished my first trance album, which will be released by Sony BMG Poland in November," Tiddey reveals. "It has productions from the beginning of my music adventure until now - with some cool surprises! I really hope people will like it," he grins. One of 2008's greatest moments for Tiddey was playing a mega stadium gig in his hometown alongside a fellow trance titan. "The Stadium of Sound gig with Tïësto in The Lech Stadium was amazing!" he smiles. Looking ahead, Tiddey says: "I dream that my tracks will be played by top ranking DJs and producers. Tomorrow I will dream about playing with them on Ibiza!" Looks like he won't have long to wait.
