While he has been a well-known name in trance for the best part of a decade, Stoke's Andy Moor noticed changes in the scene in 2009. "This year I have had to extend the boundaries of what I have been playing," he explains. "I've had to really go in depth on the progressive end to make sure I know what's what, but most gigs have called for me to play faster than in recent years." A tendency towards faster tempos hasn't deterred Moor though, and his schedule remains as hectic as ever. "Russia has really hosted some great shows this year, with a great, very educated fanbase," he notes. Moor's AVA label also maintained a high profile in 2009, with Ashley Wallbridge, Lange and Nifra contributing releases, and Moor himself putting out two EPs. Indeed, studio work is currently taking up a big part of Moor's time; with a new compilation, 'Breaking The Silence' just released, he also plans to release remixes of Delirium and BT over the coming months. Andy adds that AVA is about to "introduce some exciting new acts into the scene," while next year, all eyes and ears are on Moor again as his artist album will be released in April.
