What an amazing year it's been for Justice. They're one of the dazzling success stories of 2007 and have produced the absolute proof that French music is cooler than cool and more chic than Chic. We're talking about the uttermost peak of fashion.
With a ferocious album that's charged into our pounding eardrums and lit up our disco-electro hungry dancefloors, their distinctive distorto sound and blazing ballyhoo has caused major tremors across both clubland and popular culture.
The enormity of their success has stormed the world as they have performed at deservedly hyped gigs and played their now legendary evangelistic style sets to hugely fashionable and eager crowds. A sermon of worship takes places and an energy runs through the moshing hoards.
Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auge are the Parisian comrades who are partners in riotous, rocking techno crime. They are the most successful relatives of the uber sophisticated Ed Banger family.
But it's the whole shebang that makes up the sum of its parts. Label boss and Justice manager Busy P (Pedro Winter, also known as Daft Punk's manager) doesn't just reside as king bee, he's out there supporting them both as a mentor and also a DJ. Equally, label mates DJ Mehdi, Sebastian and Mr Flash are all one big happy union of like-minded, fresh and forward-thinking, achingly cool DJ/performers who frequently join Xavier and Gaspard on tour.
As the year draws to a close the Justice entourage continues to gather speed and momentum as it scoops up more fans and carries on ticking those boxes. May the faith be with you.
