Trance with a wide range of sounds. I like all the colours of the musical rainbow!
Best known for:
Tracks like 'Voyage', 'Intelligent Life' & 'Ocean'.
Tune of the year:
Infected Mushroom 'Becoming Insane'

Your musical inspiration:
Depeche Mode
Best festival on the planet:
E-Concert in Rio. The location was in the middle of a forest with towering cliffs all the way around it. Incredible.
Best bit of kit:
The Yamaha Motif synth has everything in it. It's a killer workstation.
What tune makes you cry:
'Spiritual Healing' by Juan; this is the track that made me fall in love with trance music.
Naughtiest thing you've done this year:
I found out a few days ago that I've been driving for three years on an expired driver's license and now need to take the driving test again. The funny thing is my dad is a driving instructor.

It's another bumper year for the Israeli trance contingent and Yahel is up at the front of the pack with one of the clearest insights into the psy-trance world.
"Aside from Israel, the whole of South America is going crazy for psy-trance at the moment," say the 31-year-old. "I've been playing Mexico, Argentina, Brazil… all over that area this year. The culture and the weather are very similar to Israel, so they are very receptive to it and are putting out some great music of their own".
"Asia's about ready for the psy invasion, I think. I was in China for the first time this year and the people there were really wonderful and extremely receptive to what I'm doing."

Aside from the DJing, Yahel has been pushing on with his FTP label, building up his DI:FM show, and last January released 'Superset 2', his seventh artist album.
"I'm finally back in Israel now and about to start work on my next album," he reveals.
