THE GARDEN FESTIVAL, CROATIA — DAY THREE

DJ Mag rocks out on day three in Croatia!

Today, we are professionals! Waking up at 10am and now taking a leisurely stroll to breakfast at Carmen’s on the east side of Tisno Bay. Fruit salad and coffee quaffed we head to the site, can't miss The Garden legend Neil Diablo, spinning his tracks at the beach bar. Quick dip? We think so, plus some chill time before our first boat party — Futureboogie!

The lovely Miro, looking after all things boat related, escorts us on to the our ship, the Argonaughty. From our experience of this festival in past years, there are only two boat parties that are an essential at The Garden Festival, and this is one of them. Oh and here comes another magical moment, the sun sets as the Futureboogie crew drop Caribou's mega hit 'Can’t Do Without You’, and as we look around it's difficult to describe the elation on people's faces.

The ensembles on the boat are impressive, think glitter-covered girls sporting mermaid-like, all-in-one swimsuits with thousands of sequins — if there was ever a time to really go for it in the costume department, this is it! We spend the next few hours dancing in the sunshine, before starting to head back to shore as the sun sinks low in the sky. The Bristol crew don't disappoint with a spin of Fleetwood Mac's ‘You Make Lovin Fun’ to close things off, half drowned out with thrilled screams from the crowd.

We’re disembarking and heading straight for the main stage for Crazy P, everytime we see them perform live it just gets better and better. As we approach the stage and into the thick of it, we’re greeted by Crazy P frontwoman, Danielle Moore, on stage spinning and spinning around in all her disco-soaked glory. The set is perfectly balanced, featuring much-loved tracks from previous albums such as 2011’s ‘When We On’ and their latest LP, ‘Walk Dance Talk Sing’. The electricity that emanates from the group is unparalleled and they really embody what this festival is all about: family and love.

Before we know it, we’re on our way to Barbarella's Discotheque and after grabbing a drink we watch in amusement as people try to trespass under the fence outside the club, only to be met by a member of security on the other side.

We shouldn’t laugh but it’s actually quite endearing, bless them! We spend the rest of the night vibing to the beats pumping from the club's rocky DJ booth, drinking tequila and laughing LOTS! Good times, and many more to come!
