Slowly and surreptitiously over the course of the last decades, a plague has infested and infected club land. It’s a disease that has eaten away at the core art of the DJ and at the very dynamics of almost any club night you care to attend.

DJ technology is moving forward at an incredible pace and is changing everything around us including the way people play music and how DJs bring those tunes to the masses.

With praise from Mary Anne Hobbs and a string of releases on pivotal imprints Numbers, Audio Culture and 877, Belgian double act GoldFFinch have wasted no time in establishing their name since they appeared on the scene back in 2011.

“Did we call ourselves 'Behling & Simpson' because it sounds a bit like soul sensations Ashford & Simpson? Oh, most definitely,” says Sam Simpson, one half of the slo-mo Bristol house pairing. “When we DJ, we do tend to end up recreating the dance routines from 'Solid As A Rock', which is frankly equal parts exciting and disturbing.”
Behling & Simpson have been slowing house music down for a while now.
