Not all electronic producers are fortunate enough to have excess amounts of cash or credit for new gear. So, a resourceful builder has shared a 10-minute DIY drum sequencer video to aid similarly cash-strapped artists.
Arturia have released six new plugins that they say you’ll “actually use”. Cleverly-titled ‘3 Filters You’ll Actually Use’ and ‘3 Pres You’ll Actually Use’, the filters are taken from elements of other famous synth clones while the pres are newly-made from the French company.
Arturia have announced the MiniBrute 2, a follow up to their popular mini analogue synth. Adding extra semi-modular patch points borrowed from their even more mini MatrixBrute. The semi modular patch points include controls for the filter, envelopes, LFOs and oscillators, hugely enhancing the sound design potential of the synth. MiniBrute 2 also features an arpeggiator with multiple modes, tap tempo as well as a built-in step-sequencer.
Arturia have added even more classic synths to their epic V Collection series. Now in its sixth incarnation, the new V Collection includes the legendary Yamaha DX7, pioneering sampler CMI Fairlight, the unique Buchla Easel V and the iconic Clavinet as well as updates for all 21 existing instruments.
Having already included models of classics like the Minimoog, ARP2600, Yamaha CS80, Roland Jupiter-8 and Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, it’s hard to argue that any classic synth collection comes close in the software realm.
Arturia returns with their KeyLab Essentials range of slick and colourful controller keyboards.
Coming in two sizes of 49 or 61 key variants, priced at £189 and £235 respectively, the new keyboards are an affordable and stripped-down option for producers looking for a quality controller for their studio or performance set-up.
KeyLab Essentials ships with Arturia’s Analog Lab 2 software included, as well as Ableton Live Lite and UVI’s Grand Piano, offering an impressive and complete out-the-box production environment for newbies or professionals.
Arturia are leading the way with their modern interpretations of classic hardware products, with their Brute family of synths. Using their extensive knowledge from creating some of the best virtual recreations of classic synths, Arturia has now capably turned its hand to creating some of the best new synths of the modern age.
Arturia has released what they claim is the future of audio cards in the all-new Audiofuse soundcard. The Audiofuse comes with a wealth of connection capabilities as well as high quality pro sound, all housed in a compact and portable casing. It's the perfect tool for the touring DJ/performer, or is equally at home in the studio.
Following on from the recent success of the iMini — a recreation of the legendary Minimoog for the iPad — Arturia have released iSEM, which this time recreates the legendary sound of the Oberheim SEM Synthesiser Expander Module, using their award-winning TAE (True Analog Emulation) technology.
