TOP 100 CLUBS PROFILE: BCM MAGALUF
This year Top 100 Clubs is powered by Miller Genuine Draft. Throughout the voting period, we will be shining a light on some of the key contenders for the 2014 crown.
One of the most successful, climbing clubs of the last few years is one that also polarises opinion. BCM, based in the resort of Magaluf in Mallorca is often written-off by serious dance music fans for it’s 18–30’s style foam parties and open-bar.
Poll Clubs 2017: BCM PLANET DANCE
BCM Planet Dance
Planet Dance: the clue is in the title with Mallorca’s most famous dance venue. And with three floors, three rooms, 15 bars and a capacity to fit 7,000 clubbers, it genuinely is in a world of its own.
Purpose built as a superclub in 1988, BCM is a year off its 30th birthday but remains as innovative as ever, with annual décor refreshes on all three rooms and the most up-to-date tech, such as the 65,000w Funktion One system, festival-level lighting and special effects.
DJ-wise it’s quicker to list the A-list DJs who haven’t played BCM in recent years. Premiership headliners to perform at one of the venue’s regular parties such as Cream, Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters, MTV, Mistajam’s Speakerbox, DJ Sammy’s Supermartxe include… Deadmau5, Skrillex, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Calvin Harris, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Angello, Chase & Status, Loco Dice. Even Snoop Dogg has performed there as DJ Snoopadelic.
Adding a real legitimacy to Magaluf’s gradually shifting reputation as a holiday destination for real music lovers, BCM has flown the flag like no other in Mallorca. And as it gears up to its 30th year, you get the impression the plan is to expand even more.
BCM ANNOUNCES SUMMER RESIDENCIES

Poll Clubs 2016: BCM Planet Dance
BCM Planet Dance
Magaluf may have a certain rep amongst some clubbers, but its biggest nightclub by far — BCM Mallorca, aka BCM Planet Dance — has still managed to persuade the world’s biggest DJs to spin in its huge environs. Presided over by main man Gordon Phillips, BCM has a 7000-capacity and a whopping all-inclusive 15 bars — so you definitely won’t leave thirsty. Upstairs is the serious main party-hearty dancefloor with a 65,000W Funktion One soundsystem, pukka lasers and a big ice cannon, while downstairs resident DJs like DJ Sparrow, PBH, Chris Online and Gordon himself keep the vibe more fun-filled.
