IKLECTIK
The London grassroots music and arts venue was forced to close this past weekend as all Old Paradise Yard small businesses were evicted to make way for planned new offices
News of the closure follows a campaign which sought to keep the venue, and the Old Paradise Yard development that houses it, open
Eviction notices, issued by the Foundation leading the development plans, are to be served “as soon as next week”
The non-profit electronic music and contemporary arts space said an investigation by the Secretary of State "could possibly result in a Public Inquiry which could halt the proposed development"
Development plans would see the venue and other businesses demolished to make way for offices
Organised by Kyiv label ШЩЦ, the event takes place this weekend at IKLECTIK
