David Guetta’s shows in Bangalore and Mumbai were cancelled earlier this week.
Times Now are reporting that David Guetta’s Noida show at Expo Nart, which was due to take place on Sunday 15th January, has also been cancelled.
The Uttar Pradesh police reportedly turned down an application from the show’s promoter, Sunburn, due to being unable to adequately staff the event because of upcoming assembly polls in the area, according to Times Now.
David Guetta was due to play a gig in the southern Indian city of Bangalore last night (Thursday 12th January), but the event’s organiser was forced to cancel it yesterday.
Sunburn, the promoter of the Guetta show, issued a statement saying they were advised to cancel it due to “events that happened around New Year’s Eve”. This seems to reference reports of a “mass molestation” at celebrations in Bangalore.
Tom Swoon rocked Sunburn’s mainstage last weekend with a set of upfront material, including a notable cut from up and coming Indian producer, Shaan.
