Trance titans Armin van Buuren and MaRLo have teamed up for a new collaborative track, ‘This I Vow’.
The single, which features vocals from Mila Josef, was released on Friday (3rd April) and comes after several weeks of teasers from the producers. The track has been released on van Buuren’s Armind label and follows the release of ‘Leka’, which dropped two weeks ago in collaboration with Super8 & Tab.

Australia has long nurtured plenty of international DJ talent, but few are more wellknown than Dutch-born trance superstar MaRLo, who just capped off another huge year. And while 2018 highlights included the launch of his label, Reaching Altitude, and the release of hits like ‘Enough Eco’, Marlo Hoogstraten says the year was big for another reason. “I finally found that important balance between touring, family and producing music,” he says. Which is impressive, considering MaRLo’s life is split between touring his own sell-out Altitude events, nurturing new talent like Avao on his label, and playing festivals like Tomorrowland, A State Of Trance, Ultra Music Festival, EDC, Creamfields, Transmission and many more.
But balance doesn’t necessarily mean he’s slowing down, and MaRLo says he can’t wait to bring his own Altitude concert shows to more cities worldwide. He also has a message for all his fans: “I love you all so much, and couldn’t do what I love without you.”

MaRLo sums up his sound when he tells DJ Mag that it is "basically Tech driven chunky beats with plenty of hands in the air moments."
It's this down to earth and refreshingly honest crowd-pleasing approach that has won him so many fans. "This year was better than last year in almost every way, I'm really happy and am blown away with the support I've received and the incredible shows and opportunities I've been given this past year," he says.
However, it's not all about the noise for MaRLo, as his trip to play in Canada this year had some unexpected surprises. "I had a great time at Lake Louise and Banff in Canada when I had a few days off in between shows," he explains. "I was by myself and kinda got in tune with the silence and peacefulness of the incredibly beautiful landscape."
With plans to complete his first artist album next year, the ambitious Netherlands-born DJ would also love to be able to realise his dream of putting on his own arena-style shows in his adopted homeland of Australia in 2016.
