Aquarian is sipping tea at home in Berlin. The Canadian is back in Europe after a festive break that included time in his native Toronto, and Brooklyn, where he lived for 10 years until a recent relocation. “The food is much better there,” he laughs, “so it’s nice to really indulge. There are a lot of parallels with the joys of eating and the joys of experiencing music — they’re very visceral, but also sensual and real art forms.”
Field Day returns to the capital on Saturday 11th July, to its new north London home The Drumsheds.
After taking place over two days in 2019, for 2020 Field Day will be one day only, running from 3pm through to 3am at Meridian Water, next to the Tottenham Marshes.
A live show from Bicep has already been announced to head up the bill, and today Field Day reveal that Floating Points, Ross From Friends, Overmono and Special Request will all play live shows alongside the Belfast duo.
Paul Woolford has hinted at new music with American DJ and producer, Diplo.
2019 was a big year for both Woolford and Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz. While the former released no less than four studio albums in the last 12 months, Pentz made history by becoming the first DJ to play a set on top of Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Announced today, Special Request, the hardcore rave alias of Paul Woolford, has remixed two versions of Alkan's 2018 track 'Spectrum'.
The 'Spectrum (Special Request Mixes)' will be released on the 24th January, and includes an acid-infused "Kaleidoscopic Mix", as well as a "Double Vision Mix".
