Breakbeat originals Stanton Warriors are set to release Stanton Sessions Vol. 4 this month.
The latest instalment of the iconic series sees the duo flirt with bass music and electro, but their edit-everything approach gives the mix that classic low-slung Stanton sound.
Over 50% of the tracks on the mix are original Stanton productions or remixes. They run side-by-side with tracks from A1 Bassline, DJ Icey, Plump DJs and Fake Blood.
It was only a matter of time before Skrillex’s mighty OWSLA imprint elevated to the big leagues within the independent electronic circuit. Co-founded in 2011 by his manager Tim Smith, his publicist Kathryn Frazier, current director of A&R at OWSLA Publishing Clayton Blaha and Skrillex himself, the Los Angeles-based label has quickly become a goldmine for future sounds and breakout rookies in just over five years.
To celebrate the release of their brilliant 'Solar Black Rays EP' out now on Punks Music, Evil Nine have given us a fantastic two-hour mix to download exclusively through our Soundcloud.
The mix is packed to bursting with the kind of dark and brooding vibes that make their own EP so good. It's a great representation of just how much quality bass music is around at the moment, and indeed — how much of it is exclusively coming out of the UK! Take a listen below:
