Armin van Buuren has delivered another mouth-watering two CD exploration of trance music in 2018 with a new ‘A State of Trance 2018’ mix album.
Mixing 42 blistering cuts, ranging from progressive flavours to uplifting future classics, the two-CD mix album includes three brand-new singles from the five-time Top 100 DJs winner.
Featuring the likes of David Gravell, DRYM x Omnia, Fatum, KhoMha, Protoculture, Purple Haze, Super8 & Tab and of course Armin van Buuren himself, the mix is another memorable snapshot of the genre in 2018.
Ultra Music Festival 2018 was a weekend full of truly unforgettable moments. Along with the much anticipated and hugely secretive reunion of Swedish House Mafia last night and a weekend full of incredible sets – many of which you can rewatch on DJ Mag’s YouTube channel – there were a number of mystery guest headline performances announced toward the end of last week.
A State of Trance has announced the line-up and running order for its stage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami on Sunday 25th March.
A State of Trance fans can watch back live streams from Factor B, Ben Nicky, Airwave, John Askew and, of course, Armin van Buuren, following Armada's A State of Trance 850 festival in Utrecht over the weekend (17th and 18th February).
Alongside the live stream from the festival, an official LP has been released featuring tracks by most of the 37 artists playing at the two-day event in Utrecht. You can listen to it here.
Ahead of ‘A State of Trance 850’, taking place tomorrow 16th February, Armin van Buuren has dropped an official compilation album to coincide with the festival.
The longstanding event, curated by the trance legend as an offshoot of his famed radio show, will take place in the humongous Jaarsbeurs venue in Utrecht, The Netherlands tomorrow, and boasts a vast line-up featuring the likes of Ben Nicky, Neelix, Liquid Soul, John O’Callaghan and more including van Burren himself.
Armin van Buuren has turned in his final A State Of Trance mix of 2017 with tracks from Seven Lions, Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, Deadmau5 and more all included.
The mix — which can listen to via Spotify here — includes a whopping 214 songs with all the best trance cuts from the last 12 months, plus a storybook-style intro which ASOT fans are sure to love.
Armin van Buuren has cultivated a huge fanbase over his two-decade career, including a passionate network of festival-goers, Olympians and Dutch royalty. Through his legendary A State of Trance radio program, Armin has introduced multiple generations of dance music fans to the broad genre’s best labels, producers and curators.
German producer Paul van Dyk has released his latest album, ‘From Then On’. A deeply personal affair, the LP marks van Dyk’s return to production following a near death experience at A State of Trance whereby he fell from a high stage. Having spent a year in rehabilitation, the experience gave the Cream regular a greater insight into the beauty of life.
Armin Van Buuren performed to a whopping 80,000 fans over the weekend, with the trance legend headlining two sold out shows at the Amsterdam arena as part of his Best Of Armin Only series.
The full show was streamed live via arminonly.tv, Facebook Live and Dutch television station RTL 4, with a staggering 4.8 million viewers tuning in online from around the globe.
