Kygo has officially confirmed his new collaboration with Selena Gomez.
The Norwegian DJ/producer revealed the news via his Instagram yesterday, which he recently stripped bare in favour of a series of nine abstract press pictures hinting at the new collab.
Gomez has also confirmed the collab and teased the new audio via her own Instagram account.
You can listen to both snippets from Kygo and Selena below.
Kygo has deleted his entire Instagram feed.
The Kygo account, which is currently followed by whopping 1.3 million users, was stripped bare yesterday morning, before being repopulated by five abstract portrait images over the last 24 hours.
It now appears the images are arty press shots of the Norwegian DJ/producer, who is currently rumoured to be working on a collaboration with pop princes Selena Gomez.
Keep an eye on Kygo's Instagram account to see if anything more reveals itself over the next few days.
It's no coincidence Kyrre means "peaceful" in Norwegian. The given name of tropical house star Kygo, he maintains a seasoned calmness far beyond his years amidst a seemingly overnight explosion into a hard-to-crack industry. Hype is a vicious beast that can make or break a new artist.
Tropical beats? Sure, Kygo’s got some. Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, our highest new entry from Bergen, Norway — a beautiful city that sparkles with cold, glacial fjords and snow atop its windswept peaks — has been busy warming up house music in 2015 with his beach-ready vibes.
Hailed by fans and peers alike as the harbinger of change to an electronic music scene in need of new life, the young artist makes his DJ Mag Top 100 debut in his biggest year to date…
with no signs of slowing down. From the release of his first original single, ‘Firestone’, which amassed over 100 million YouTube views, to headlining some of the world’s biggest festivals, Kygo assures us that “the whole year has been amazing.”
Closing out the LIVE stage at Ultra Music Festival with the debut of his new show and playing the Mojave Tent at Coachella are at the top of his favorite moments list, but of course, it’s hard to choose just one or two from a year full of musical madness.
As expected, there have been some crazy moments, too — such as preparing to perform at the finale of Germany’s Next Top Model and having to evacuate the arena due to a bomb threat. We’d say that qualifies, but we’re pretty sure that 2016 will bring even more for this rising star as he continues to warm hearts and dancefloors the world over with his uplifting, laidback grooves.
