London-based festival SW4 have announced they'll be campaigning to have British DJ Carl Cox awarded an MBE.
According to a press release from SW4, the festival is “calling for Carl to be rewarded for four decades of devoting himself to his art form and dedicating his life to spreading the sounds of UK house and techno to the four corners of the planet.”
The MBE honours system recognises people who have either made achievements in public life or committed themselves to serving and helping Britain.
Carl Cox starts his last ever season at Space Ibiza this week, and online TV channel Be-At TV has announced that it will be streaming from the club for his entire 15-week stint.
Cox unveiled the full line-up for his final Music Is Revolution season at Space Ibiza in April, with the opening night seeing him joined by Luciano and Cristian Varela in the main room, whilst the terrace will see Matthias Tanzmann, Michel De Hey and BBC Radio 1’s B.Traits all on deck.
The Social Festival has announced that Goldie and Loco Dice are the final additions to its line-up for the event, which is set to run on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th September.
Loco Dice will headline the Bamboo Village on Friday, which also sees Eats Everything, Guy Gerber, Nastia and more on deck through the same day.
Goldie joins the festival’s drum ‘n bass offering on the same stage on Saturday, which already had appearances from Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, High Contrast, DJ Zinc and more locked in.

Carl Cox is using his considerable influence to help launch a text to donate initiative with charity music foundation Last Night A DJ Save My Life (LNADJ) in support of children in conflict zones via War Child.
The donation initiative is part of LNADJ’s fundraising campaign that will see all donations given to War Child to support some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
"As an ambassador of ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’, I am really excited to support this amazing competition focusing on children in conflict zones around the world," explained the legendary techno DJ.
