fabric made a statement today which said the venue wants to “lead the industry” and create a new gold standard in approaches to drugs and security, whilst calling on the police and licensing authorities to support their efforts.
London's largest nightclub Studio 338 has launched a crowd-funding campaign in the hope of re-opening its terrace area following a devastating fire earlier this month.
The blaze, which took 70 firefighters to control and tragically claimed the life of Studio 338 staff member Tomas, left the venue a burnt-out shell only a few months after it had re-opened following major new structural developments.
An official petition has been launched to show support to London nightclub fabric, which currently faces closure following the drug-related deaths of two 18-year-olds at the venue in the past two months.
Fabric's licence has currently been suspended for 28 days, but could be permanently removed following a review by Islington Council.
According to a report published by Broadly, incidents of rape in London pubs, clubs and bars rose by 136 percent between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2016.
The Metropolitan Police put the figure at a 119 percent increase over the same period.
Unified is the new mobile app that let's you keep track of your pals in a nightclub. The app, that works using your phone's Bluetooth network, allows you to pull up tailored maps of a designated club, including landmarks (bars, toilets and stages) plus located your friends throughout the venue, find out sets times and lots more.
But the app isn't just a way to bring people together, it's also a way to make clubbing safer — now you can keep an eye on your pals wherever they are thanks to Unified's Buddy System.
