Martin Garrix has been revealed as the winner of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll 2017, with the 21-year-old Dutch superstar retaining his title after becoming the youngest ever No.1 DJ last year.
Garrix was awarded the No.1 trophy by recent musical collaborator and EDM superstar, David Guetta, on stage at the Top 100 DJs Poll award ceremony at the Amsterdam ArenA. The event took place at this year’s Amsterdam Music Festival at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
Armin van Buuren has been revealed as the winner of the Highest Trance category in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll. Armin came in at No. 3 overall.
When it comes to long-term success in the Top 100 DJs, every other DJ in the poll could learn a thing or two from Armin van Buuren.
First placing way back in 2001, the Dutchman jumped in at No. 27. The next year he made it all the way to fifth place, and hasn’t left the top five ever since!
Carl Cox has been revealed as the winner of the Highest Techno category in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll. The British icon came in at No. 62 overall.
Unofficially known as the Nicest Man In Dance Music, Carl has taken a bit of time out to do other things besides DJing this year.
“I’ve been running the Carl Cox Motorsport team,” he told DJ Mag after scooping the Highest Techno gong again. And one look at the group’s Facebook page suggests they’ve had some great successes of late.
Claptone has been revealed as the winner of the Highest House category in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll. The DJ/producer came in at No. 69 overall.
Melodic masked marauder is a new entry to the poll, after releasing his popular mix series, ‘The Masquerade Mixes’, over the course of 2017. Claptone also adorned Ibiza airport with nine super-sized masks to mark the beginning of his world tour, which hit dance music’s most prolific events including Melt! Festival in Germany, Elrow in Ibiza, Tomorrowland in Belgium and Street Parade in Switzerland.
