Launched last year in Birmingham, Soundboy UK is a clothing label with its heart set firmly on creating and nurturing street styles and attitudes.
“I like clean, functional pieces and on stage, I'm a fan of all black. Usually it's an all black long-sleeved Dickies cotton shirt, simple Levis all black 501s and my Jordan 3 all black flips. Off stage, I'm a bit more adventurous with colours; however, really big, bold, bright colours tend not to suit me. My big extravagance is my trainers. I have over 155 pairs, and will normally start an outfit with the footwear choice first.”
The ‘curator of goodness’ at Millionhands is one Tom Mangan, a producer in his own right who started the label when he was living in Berlin. “I’d been making records for a few years and I was restless, I had the urge to do something for my self,” he reveals.
A design collective with animal instincts
Just over a year ago, we were banging on about Fashion Beans and how it had a clever clogs ability to keep our attention. And it’s still got it. In fact, it’s evolved into an authority on all things trend-setting for men’s style and grooming that we can hardly do without. Pow!
“I was always inspired by the soul and funk, and love the soul style of the '70s. It's flamboyant and colourful, and I also really liked Cher when Bob Mackie dressed her in the '70s. I loved that funky mod look she had going on. I am a big fan of colours and orange, red and white are my favourites. I am not really moved by what everyone wears as a group. That's funny to me, and some might think it's weird, but I like unique style.”
Sol Republic are out to muscle in on a piece of the headphone action with their new celebrity-endorsed range of headphones for cool cat DJs.

We would indeed. And we most certainly do! We love Wood Wood. It’s so hot right now.
It’s a music label and a fashion label, all at the same time. That makes A Votre well-and-truly connected! And it’s all thanks to the man Sante, pictured here wearing one of his own tees. Currently living in Berlin, this tech house wizard also has a flair for spotting a neat look, then translating that into actual threads fit for any music hungry thrill-seeker.
