This Friday (5th of February) Selecta Bros and Nils Hess take over Work Bar in Angel, London.
Selecta Bros consists of A Guy Called Gerald and JB, a duo with well over 25 years of experience in dance music.
A Guy Called Gerald was one of the many DJs who helped the UK dance music scene explode in the late 80s. He is the first UK acid house producer and the first producer to have two instrumental dance tracks in the UK charts at the same time. He also collabrated with many other muscians including the late David Bowie who he produced a remix for.
You can next catch Coco Cole at Chase The Compass Presents WORKITOUT at Work Bar alongside Anna Wall, Ceri, NINJA and CTC DJs on 29th January. Free entry and details here.
Coco Cole is tearing apart a giant jam doughnut. It’s one of the few breathers the Capital Xtra DJ, producer, A&R and soon-to-be label-head gets in a world of nocturnal and peak-time radio appearances, back-to-back sets and talent scouting.
At the age of only 20, Danny Avila has become one of the hottest acts in the world of EDM.
Ed Banger boss Busy P is teaming up with house hero Boston Bun to bring some no-nonsense house music vibes to Australia this March.
Six parties are planned across Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Byron Bay, the Sunshine Coast and Sydney.
“No VIP corner, no stage diving, just house music all night long to make you sweat”.
Ah, so that’s what they mean by a house party...
We’ve been keeping both eyes firmly fixed on Brisbane's Young Franco, who we recently pinned down for a Fresh Kicks mix and Q&A, and the DJ/producer has just cooked up a thumping new remix of Jean Tonique’s huge tune ‘Guest.
Out on Yuksek’s Partyfine as part of the ‘Guest Remix EP’, the Franco flip is well worth a play.

Anna Wall likes pies—the figurative kind, as she has her fingers in so many. The 27-year-old multi-hyphenate Londoner is a DJ, a radio show producer and presenter, a nightclub music curator and promoter, an A&R girl, a radio plugger; plus she produces original tracks and gets commissioned to remix others.
A DJ and producer since the early '90s, Miguel is a man who knows his house music. In 2006 he founded his own label Outcross Records, and teamed up with Leeds DJ Matt Hughes to form MAM, putting out releases via NYC's Wolf+Lamb and Australia's Future Classic.
