The Balearic Islands are set to be put back on the UK’s amber travel list from 19th July.
Ocio de Ibiza has proposed a ban on DJs that perform at illegal parties in villas and other private locations, which "are becoming more and more professionalised."
The organisation — which represents the interests of clubs, venues, and other nightlife businesses on the island — made the suggestion that these DJs be banned from playing established venues in a meeting last week. The lack of regulatory powers to close down gatherings has led to the idea that the industry itself should take action.
Ibiza's first pilot club event has recorded no new coronavirus infections.
The first pilot event on the White Isle took place at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday 25th June, with 1200 of the island's key workers invited for a session aimed at testing COVID-19 protocols within nightlife and music settings ahead of clubs being allowed to return en masse.

The Balearic government is introducing new restrictions in the Sant Antoni area of Ibiza, in order to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Tourists arriving into Ibiza from the UK will need to show a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination in order to enter. The new requirements will come into effect on Friday 2nd July.

Jamie Fiorito. Indie pop group Sophie and the Giants will also play an Italo- and disco-inspired set while the White Island Orchestra will play a live set of Ibiza classics.
Ibiza has been added to the UK's green travel list.
Yesterday (24th), Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced the destinations being added to the UK government's green travel list, with Ibiza and the Balearic islands among the countries to be included.
From the 30th June at 4AM, anyone entering the UK from Ibiza and the other destinations on the list will not be required to quarantine, but will still be required to take a COVID-19 test before travelling, book and pay for the day 2 COVID-19 test on arrival back in the country, and complete a passenger locator form.
Do Not Sleep has announced details of its summer closing party at Amnesia Ibiza.
Doubling as the house and techno brand's first and last party on the island in 2021, the event takes place at the White Isle club on 12th October and will feature headliners Patrick Topping, Paul Woolford, Cinthie and Gerd Janson on the Terrace.
Ibiza could be one of the new destinations added to the UK's travel green list.
The Times reports that a government source has suggested imminent travel to the White Isle - as well as the rest of the Balearics and Malta - is a "real possibility" from next week. Health Secretary Matt Hancock is expected to announce details this afternoon (24th June).
