In the fickle world of dance music where trends come and go like the tide, a label that manages to remain relevant without compromising its initial vision is a rarity; a label that’s done it for 15 years is a miracle. Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Ed Banger Records’ visionary Pedro Winter (who previously managed Daft Punk) has made the label’s journey look easy.

Throughout December 2017, thousands of French music fans voted in DJ Mag France's Best of French Awards.
More than 60 French DJ-producers and electronic music artists were nominated across 16 categories to give an overview of the French electronic scene, which has never been so relevant.
The results – which landed last week – were dominated by 18 year-old Petit Biscuit, who scooped three awards.
DJ Snake kept his as France's Best Global DJ and Justice were awarded Best French Electronic Duo.
It first happened at a media dinner about five years ago. I was sandwiched rather uncomfortably between two older international journalists — one from Amsterdam and one from New York. As we sat watching a slideshow about a dance-music-meets-yoga festival heading to Thailand that following summer, Mr NYC commented that he hoped Carl Cox was playing because he was his “favourite EDM DJ right now”. Justice were one of 50 artists and celebrities selected to customize a Levi’s Trucker Jacket in honour of the iconic accessory's 50th anniversary. It's a warm, autumnal evening in south London and DJ Mag is on its way to Brixton Academy to see Justice perform live in the capital for the first time in four years. It's also almost 12 months to the day since the bosses of the crosses, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, released their third studio album 'Woman' to critical acclaim. Having toured their new live show at some of the world's biggest festivals including Glastonbury and Coachella, today's show will be their first indoor performance of the tour.
Daft Punk’s ‘The Brainwasher’ is set to receive an Erol Alkan ‘Horrorhouse Dub’ rework. The remix is one of 20 set to appear on Alkan’s ‘Reworks Volume 1’ release.
Alkan has chosen cuts from across the musical spectrum to contort, with indie rock (Tame Impala, Hot Chop, Franz Ferdinand, Yeah Yeah Yeah) representing a significant portion of the collection. Edits of Lindstrøm and Justice also made the discs.
A remixer of his own caliber, Alkan will be taking a unique production approach to each selection.
