English record stores have shared plans for trading during lockdown. 

Following the start of the UK's national second lockdown, which came into force midnight last night (5th November), a number of record stores have outlined their plans to keep trading throughout the current closure of physical, non-essential shops.

A 1,000-person rave in East London was closed down by police during Halloween weekend according to East London Advertiser, just one of several raids to take place at events in the capital that breached coronavirus regulations. 

London venue Printworks has issued a response to the club's rejection for Cultural Recovery Fund assistance.

Corsica Studios has launched a fundraising competition.

Previously serving as a karate dojo, dry cleaners and gambling den, beloved South London nightclub, Corsica Studios, is the latest club to suffer the impact of the COVID-19, after remaining closed to the public since March.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has pledged £450,000 to support grassroots venues affected by COVID-19.

Last month, the UK government revealed the first group of 135 venues receiving emergency grants from a £1.57billion support package for the arts and culture industries. 

Now, Sadiq Khan has announced that almost half a million pounds will directly support grassroots venues in London, with over 100 venues battling through the pandemic set to benefit from the fund.

The full line-up for next year's Junction 2 has been revealed.

Having had to postpone this year's outing due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual London festival is set to return for its fifth edition on 4th-5th June 2021.

As well as replicating the entirety of 2020's line-up for next year, Bambounou, Esa and Jossy Mitsu have joined Friday's bill, while Saturday welcomes new additions Deena Abdelwahed, Sam Bangura and Samuel Deep.
