Scientists have sent a giant disco ball into space so large that it will be visible to the naked eye from Earth.
The massive reflective sphere is the creation of American start-up firm Rocket Lab and has been named the Humanity Star. It took flight 21st January from Mahia, New Zealand, where the team has developed the world’s first private orbital launch range.
Nina Kraviz has announced a year-end tour across the Americas. The tour commences 16th November in Austin, Texas.
The tour, dubbed ‘NK Overseas’, runs through dance culture hubs Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mexico City, New York and Chicago before closing 23rd December at Space Miami. Stops in Juarez, Costa Rica, Medellin, Bogota and Houston are also on the itinerary.

Carl Cox was honoured with ribbon-cutting duties for the recently opened Space Ibiza museum, dubbed the Space Warehouse, in San Antonio, ES. Cox was joined in the proceedings by 81-year-old White Isle legend, and former Space owner, Pepe Rosello.
Open 9am – 3pm Monday through Friday, the Warehouse will showcase merchandise and memorabilia from the now-defunct club including old photos, chairs, tables, branded shirts and other accessories.

Game Over?, the brainchild of the respected Carl Cox at Space team, have announced a six-date run of their own at Benimussa Park Ibiza. The Wednesday event kicks off 19th July and runs intermittently through 20th September.

HÏ IBIZA will launch on the former site of Space in Playa d'en Bossa this season.
According to a press release issued by HÏ IBIZA owners Ushuaïa Entertainment, the new venue will feature: "the highest standards of music and entertainment, bringing world-class music experiences to a club designed with the dancer in mind."
Set to launch later this year, the rebranded venue aims to "stay true to the open-minded spirit of Ibiza, bringing together music lovers to dance, discover and experience the magic of the White Isle."
