The Swedish superstar – real name Tim Bergling – who retired from touring in 2016 and released his six-track ‘Avīci’ EP last year, was 28 years old.
The news was confirmed by his publicist, Diane Baron, in a statement that read, “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii.
Avicii invests in Swedish cold coffee start-up, MODE Cold Brew
Avicii has announced that he has invested in a Swedish cold brew coffee company called MODE Cold Brew.
Speaking about his recent investment in the Swedish coffee startup, Avicii said: “In the studio, I have always relied on energy drinks until I discovered cold brew coffee.
“When Mode Cold Brew was launching in Sweden it just felt natural to be a part of that. When I had the first taste of Mode I knew that it was the right choice,” said Avicii.

Avicii has revealed his tell-all biopic, True Stories, is due to hit internet streaming service Netflix in the near future.
The Swedish EDM star — who famously retired from touring in March 2016 after suffering stress and exhaustion on the road — spilled the news during the third episode of his radio show, Avicii FM.
“I’m releasing my documentary this weekend…Levan [Tsikurishvili], who’s the director of the documentary, has followed me for the past four years I think, four or five years," Avicii said during the show.
