Robert Hood has announced a new album.
Detroit pioneer and Underground Resistance co-founder Hood, who released a split EP with his DJ/producer daughter Lyric back in August, has revealed the details of his forthcoming album, 'Mirror Man'.
The 14-track LP, incoming via Radio Slave's Rekids imprint, moves from cinematic techno and warehouse-ready stompers, through to ambient beats and slower tempos.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, clubs and festivals have been finding new ways to get creative, bringing artists sets and performances to their respective online platforms.
The latest of these projects is the world's first virtual techno club, appropriately titled techno-club.net. The virtual platform, which is the brainchild of The Advent and Portland's Dave Bate, will provide an immersive club experience, with special focus on techno, house and electro.

In the most recent episode of Dubfire's DJs and Beers streaming series, which features conversations between DJs each week, Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Matt Edwards, and Truncate met up on a Zoom call to wax lyrical. During the chat, speaking from his home in Melbourne, Coxy revealed that alongside his tour manager Ian, he'd written a book titled Oh Yes, Oh Yes.
Stating the book was finished before the pandemic, Coxy said that COVID-19 and more personal events in recent months had put a halt on his plans to release it.

The feted Chinese experimental club label will deliver the Beijing-born, Shanghai-based producer's inaugural LP on 16th October. According to pre-release notes, the record is inspired by the idea of holes. "On one hand, they are the driven force for evolution, on the other hand, holes are also the layer of scab that signals growth," the text reads. "Without tearing, cutting and gluing, we cannot create or eliminate a hole. Topologists use the number of holes to distinguish geometric objects."
