A Trance DJ has set the world record for the highest ever DJ set at 5,593 metres above sea level.
Anjunabeats affiliate Genix, who'll perform at Manchester's Warehouse Project for the label later this month, has set a Guinness World Record by DJing at Everest Base Camp.
The record was confirmed yesterday (11th) following the climb in April this year, with the DJ taking to social media to break the news.
A State Of Trance (ASOT) has revealed the theme and the first acts slated to perform at ASOT950.
Taking place in Utrecht on the 15TH February 2020, Armin van Buuren's ASOT will be held in the city's Jaarbeurs venue. It follows on from the huge 2019 edition of the festival, which sold out in six weeks in advance and saw 35,000 fans descend on the city.
Armin van Buuren has won the Highest Trance award at this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs 2019. He holds steady in fourth place after landing the same position last year. It marks his 18th consecutive appearance in the top 5.
Above & Beyond have shared their set from the Group Therapy 350 celebrations last Friday night at Prague's O2 arena.
Performing to a sold-out, 18,000-capacity arena, the trio performed trance and progressive classics, as well as some of their newer releases like 'Waltz' and 'Diving Out Of Love', which features the vocal work of Above & Beyond's own Jono Grant.

On 17th October, van Dyk will play Shine's ADE party at Panama alongside Alex M.O.R.P.H, Asteroid, John 00 Flemming, Jordan Suckley, Lostly and Saad Ayub. The night will run from 10pm through to 7am.

Speaking on the album, van Dyk shared: “It’s always an aim to inspire others through music, and that’s my mission with my new album Guiding Light. I collaborated with some of the most talented up and coming artists in trance music over the past year, recording sessions across the world from my home studio in Berlin to hotel rooms in far corners of the globe.”
