Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list is an annual list that pays homage to the foremost individuals in music, sport and business who are yet to reach their 30th birthday. While it's typically dominated by sports stars a la Conor McGregor, this year’s list includes an individual we’re far more familiar with: EDM superstar, Zedd.
Hakkasan Group held a fundraiser for the Las Vegas victims fund earlier this week (7th November) which raised more than $1 million.
Taking place at OMNIA Nightclub inside Caesars Palace, the fundraiser featured sets from Tiësto, Zedd, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Party Favor, Cash Cash, NGHTMRE and more
One of the more surreal moments of the night seemed to be when Celine Dion joined Steve Aoki on stage. You can watch footage of that below.
Steve Aoki continued to honour Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington last week (26th October) with an official remix of the band’s ‘One More Light’. Aoki released the single ahead of Friday’s tribute event in Los Angles, California for the late Linkin Park frontman.
“Keep @ChesterBe close to your heart & play this one loud!” mentions Aoki in the Twitter announcement.
Zedd's Echo Tour kicked off at the end of September, with the opening night in Vancouver. Since then, the EDM pin up has hit Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston, and we've got the video evidence to prove he knows how to put on a show.
Official footage from Chicago's Aragon Ballroom has been released online, giving fans an opportunity to watch 90minutes of roof-raising sounds, lights, and atmosphere. Think the euphoria of his remix of Magic's 'Rude' descending into tough driving hoovers and an array of lasers, and you're in the right ball park.
The Backstreet Boys are set to return with a new album on RCA and want Major Lazer’s Diplo to produce the record.
They revealed the news in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, also mentioning they’re keen for Steve Aoki, Zedd or even The Chainsmokers to get involved on the LP.
“We’re reaching out to people who we were always inspired by or who may have been fans and we didn’t even know,”band member AJ McLean told ET.
Zedd played a 90-minute set at the welcome party for the 2017 PokerStars Championship Barcelona and then took third place at the event’s side table, winning nearly $52,000 USD (€44,000). It was Zedd’s first recorded tournament cash.
Zedd had some harsh words for musicians who don't stand up against Donald Trump in a recent interview with Billboard Magazine.
“They don’t want to lose fans. I understand where they are coming from, but I disagree with that being a good reason not to speak up," said the producer when he tried to persuade his peers to join him for a benefit concert in the wake of Trump's failed travel ban earlier this year.
Escape Halloween has revealed the line-up for its 2017 Psycho Circus edition. The seventh annual event features sets by Zedd, Marshmello, Afrojack, Nicole Moudaber, and Jamie Jones.
Produced by Insomniac, the two-day festival runs 27th and 28th October at San Bernardino, California’s NOS Events Center.
As the event conglomerate HARD turns 10 years old, and with announcement that its head cheese, Gary Richards — aka DJ Destructo — is set to leave the brand for good, DJ Mag takes a trip down memory lane with a remarkable picture diary from the pages of our US magazine.
