DJ Swindle is one of the bright sparks that has merged DJing and Production techniques rather nicely when it comes to his sets. Bringing together both aspects of dance music culture, his sets show the unique way that he uses Serato. Most of us are use to seeing the usual quick fire turntablism antics of these skilled DJs but Swindle’s approach is more akin to a turn in the studio.
Using Serato DJ alongside a Pioneer DDJ-SP1, Akai Pro LPD8, and Novation Bass Station II keyboard, Swindle delights with a cool deck performance. A fine blend of jazz riffs, UK Funky-inspired cuts and hard-hitting grime - this one’s quite a journey.
