Macchiato DIY mini synth

Macchiato mini-synth is a duo phonic synth from Zepplin Design Labs that retails for less than £40.

Mini DIY synths seem to be all the rage at the moment and this addition to the gang is no slouch in the sound department.

Looking a little bit like a Stylophone, even down to the touch sensitive keyboard, the sound engine of this synth comes from Mozzi’s sound synthesis library for Arduino, an open source sound platform that can be used to generate complex and powerful sounds.

The synth can be bought as a kit or pre-assembled. From the video below it is apparent that the Macchiato is the real deal.
