A 200-year-old theatre, the Barfly's many nooks, crannies and corridors are riddled with charm. They also play regular host to the twin towers of Liverpool's clubbing team - Circus and Chibuku. The former following 4/4 pathways, the latter a more eclectic array of beats, both are eclectic, on-point and impeccably programmed with Laurent Garnier, James Holden, Prins Thomas, Marky, Jesse Rose and Ibiza legend Alfredo all playing in the past year.

"I'm biased but I've had the best gigs here since we started Circus seven years ago," says Circus promoter Yousef. "The crowd is so responsive and it's a real community vibe club - the sort of place you can go to by yourself."
