Just ten years ago, telling people you were going clubbing in Croatia would most probably have elicited raised eyebrows and sarky remarks about packing a flak jacket. But times have changed, and thanks to clubs like Byblos, the country is now thought of more as the new Ibiza than the old Iraq.

Open for two years now, this huge club in Porec has played host to the likes of David Guetta, Roger Sanchez and DJ Paulette, who says: "It's definitely the best summer club in Croatia. It's a huge complex with a swimming pool, terraces, lots of bars and a sunken dancefloor. A real home from home for me."
