While the tourist cattle are drawn like dumb flies to the bright lights of Ministry Of Sound, Elephant & Castle's more understated clubbing outpost (that's Corsica Studios if you're wondering) is magnetising those with a deeper passion for underground and alternative culture. Relaxed, slightly rundown and entirely unfussy, the dual spaces of Corsica Studios have the aura of a squat party just without all the bad bits. Instead, those in the know get to get down to names like Colin Dale, Instra:mental, Prins Thomas, Zinc, Untold and Peverelist at Corsica's cluster of impressive regular events - check purist electro/techno night Bleep 43 and bass bastion Trouble Vision, disco session Lowlife and James Holden's Border Community. The Full Pupp parties are also stuff of legend.
"Corsica Studios is run smoothly by nice people, but more importantly it just feels right," says James Holden. "It's a relaxed bohemian space where everyone can feel comfortable and free and weirdness and art can just happen unimpeded."
