Space Ibiza

While most nightclubs are just that, Space Ibiza is something much more. A dance music institution, a Balearic legend, a non-stop 16-hour party, a sprawling Pandora's box of arenas, spaces and terraces, Playa D'En Bossa's premier playground of hedonism has a capacity for magic that goes well beyond normal nocturnal experiences.

Whether it's soaking up the searing afternoon rays and watching the wildly costumed performers in the colossal car park during the festival-styled opening party, losing your mind to Carl Craig in the 4am grip of the Discoteca's ravebox, getting your groove on with Paul Woolford's infamously anthemic 'edits' on the famed terrace or catching Balearic originator Alfredo up on the Sunset Terrace, Space is a place where those sought after, timeless clubbing experiences are crammed into every last heaving corner of its throbbing, multi-faceted abyss.

While Carl Cox's Tuesday residency can't be overlooked, Sunday's We Love... marathons are still the flagship and routinely cram in months worth of bleeding-edge artists on to one line-up alone.

"Clubbers from all over the world congregate at Space and they all want one thing - to have a fucking good time," reckons We Love... resident Smokin' Jo. "The energy in the place is electric and to this day I still really feel very special and excited and even nervous when I play there. The reputation of the club eclipses all others and the crowd expects so much you have to put on a good show. But the reaction when they are digging you is unsurpassed. It's DJ's dream."
