The land of maple leafs and mounties may not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of the world's clubbing hotspots, but to ignore Montreal's Stereo would be to do so at your peril.

Born in 1998, it's become a byword for the best in house music, with famed residents Chus & Ceballos locking down the finest in tribal and progressive house to a polysexual crowd united by the relentless rhythm. Recent guests have included Tiga, Roger Sanchez, Adam Beyer and Audiofly, which goes some way to demonstrating Stereo's kudos and wide-ranging appeal. And with the interior design of the club modelled on the legendary Paradise Garage, Stereo takes its credentials in the house music canon very seriously indeed. Upcoming appearances from the likes of Loco Dice and Martin Buttrich ought to ensure that Stereo keeps its crown as the coolest Canada has to offer.
