The future of electronic music is alive and well, and thriving in Colombia, and all eyes are on a club nuzzled in centre of Bogatá. ‘Baum has been, for the last four years, a musical reference in the Colombian scene, basing its music in house and techno'. A club that doesn't just book any old big name DJ. Not even half way into the year and Baum's back-schedule is a thing of wonderment — creating a recipe guaranteed to amaze and delight their loyal followers with appearances from high-end techno taskmasters Heidi, wAFF, Coyu and Rodriguez Jnr.
However, all eyes are on Baum Festival this year. It's their third one in a row, taking place on May 20th with fistfuls of first rate DJs and artists headlining — DJ Hell, Green Velvet, Joris Voorn, Pleasurekraft, Chris Liebing and Josh Wink for starters. Housed in the city's 8,000 capacity Multiparque site, revellers will be looking at fully satisfying 14-hour dance off. And of course there will be a drug testing area in the Echele Cabeza tent, a chill out area, a barber shop (naturally) and plenty of crazy fun times to be had.
