Valentino Kanzyani
| NEW ENTRY

"The thing that made my year was the remix I did for Nathan Fake," recalls Slovenian DJ and producer Valentino Kanzyani. "It went to No.1 in all possible shops and was No.2 in overall sales on Beatport. It also went on to many compilations. I really didn't count on its success."
It marks 12 months that have seen him move away from his hard techno roots, delving instead into its deeper relatives that have seen techno become a global force once again.
"I've changed my style because I got bored playing percussive stuff," he explains. "Looped techno hasn't changed much in three years. I play slower now, which means that I can fit many more styles into one set, from deep house to minimal to techno. People are starting to accept it and book me."

It's been a busy summer with gigs at Amnesia and Circo Loco in Ibiza and Amsterdam's Dance Valley.
With the season now over, Valentino's now concentrating on pushing labels Recycled Loops and Earresistable, which are jointly run with fellow Slovenian and techno giant, Umek.
"We have a lot of new releases coming up, from our countrymen and from around the world. My goal now is to build up the labels and to become known for the new music that I'm playing."
