Trentemøller
| NEW ENTRY

Despite insisting in recent times that he's not a DJ but a producer, it seems you still can't get enough of Danish born electronica wizard Trentemøller. Considering that some time has passed since the last time he took to the decks and is openly derisory of DJ culture, he's made a pretty impressive showing in our chart.
That's almost certainly down to the strength of his debut album 'The Last Resort', which dropped last October, and despite relatively little mainstream press coverage, has been a word of mouth success that has gone on to rack up sales well into the six-figure bracket. That can only be expected to rise with the launch in America this month of a live tour in support of the LP set to reach various disparate corners of the globe.

Judging by the rapturous response he elicited when he headlined Glastonbury's dance tent back in June, he'll be playing to full and very noisy houses when the tour reaches the UK next month.

Given his first break by veteran techno warrior Steve Bug, who released the producer's first offering on his Audiomatique label, the Dane was also recently handpicked to remix Moby's techno classic 'Go' and had his Essential Selection mix for Pete Tong's Radio 1 show voted the top session of 2006.
The Trentemøller steamroller, it seems, is truly unstoppable.
