"While the rest of the world has been going minimal, I've been getting into the more downtempo, discofied stuff," reveals Danny Howells. "It's the kind of stuff I only really get to play when I'm doing a Dig Deeper party in somewhere like Montreal, but that's what's been on constant rotation at home."
Touring has taken up a big chunk of Danny's time - as always. In the last 12 months he's caned South America, the US and Europe, with Canada in particular floating his boat.
"It's always been one of my favourite places, but this year, a few of my gigs out there just blew my mind," he recalls.
His overall musical highlight however was at the massive Glastonbury festival.
"I loved playing there, but to spend four days at that place, with all the rain, mud, my mates, seeing bands like !!!, The Stooges, and so on - it's hard to beat an experience like that."
Danny's studio work has stepped up a gear this year too. He's already completed remixes for Roachford, Bent and Marco Bailey, and is also currently working on some original productions too.
"The plan is to have at least two new EPs done by the beginning of 2008," he says. "If I can have the bones of an artist album ready next year I'll be very happy.
"And I'd like to get through my Dallas box set!"
