This summer saw Frankfurt-based techno jock Chris Liebing take the brave step into Ibiza's dog-eat-dog clubland, launching a Thursday night residency at Space in the shape of Spin Club. And for his maiden voyage Chris made a point of surrounding himself with DJs he both knew well and respected.
"The way I see it, if everyone doing the party is having a good time then the people will have a good time," chuckles Chris, who invited such guests as Joris Voorn, Radio Slave and Len Faki to play at Spin Club.
"It was just so much fun," grins Chris. "I think for a first season, the team did a really good job."

Away from Ibiza, Chris has been giving Italy a great deal of attention.
"There's a huge growing market for the whole techno/minimal scene - it's really exploding over there. It reminds me of Spain seven or eight years ago, with a really fresh vibe going on."
And there are new movements cropping up in Romania and the Ukraine too, according to Chris.
"The people there are really open-minded, you can play pretty much anything and people will still have a good time."

Back home, Chris can be found making full use of his newly furnished studio with the early fruits of Liebing's lavish new lab soaring up Beatport's techno chart.
"Having a great environment is always good for creativity," says Chris. "I'm super happy right now - it feels like a new time for me."
