Roger Sanchez

The legions of fans who've voted him high into the chart again clearly see Roger as untouchable. From his trademark shades and Kangol cap combo to his S-Man logo and - most importantly - the clubs he packs out around the world, Sanchez is the very embodiment of the superstar DJ. And his star shows no sign of dimming.

So it's probably no coincidence that the theme for his 'Release Yourself' parties this year has been the signs of the zodiac. For like a true Gemini, Roger is certainly a multi-tasker - putting out the sixth 'Release Yourself' compilation this year, playing six-hour sets, headlining festivals from Exit in Serbia to the UK's Global Gathering, continuing to run Stealth Records and broadcasting the 'Release Yourself' radio show to 27 different countries, as well as podcasting over the internet.

In style and attitude, Roger will always be synonymous with New York, but it's arguably in Europe that he's found most favour. Which is why it's probably best to hear him in Ibiza - with the deeper sound of his warm-up sets reflecting the sunsets before things get darker and wilder as the night draws on and the international make-up of the crowd sum up the S-Man's global appeal. Residing at Pacha in Ibiza this year, the 'Release Yourself' parties once again got plenty of people talking.
