As a man who first heard 'Love Can't Turn Around' when Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk played him the first demo in his Corvette, Bad Boy Bill has been at the epicentre of house music since day one. He finally releases his long-awaited debut artist album in 2009. "You've really got to have your own productions to expand internationally," he says. "The album is different to what people might expect. There are guitars and different tempos on there, which comes from growing up with that original Chicago house mindset of mashing house, disco and rock together." Not that you've got to necessarily travel to America to see Bill in action, for as well as his numerous mixtapes like 'Bangin' The Box' he also released the 'Behind The Decks Live' DVD in 2006 following an American tour, which showcased the scratching tricks and energetic performances the former DMC turntablist is famed for. "I wanted to elevate mix CDs to another level," he explains. "I bring dancers and visuals when I play and put on a real show behind the decks to make it much more of a spectacle."
